I approach life with curiosity and kindness. This drive to learn, grow and explore has informed my professional experiences and my clinical lens greatly. I believe that art is a way of knowing. My profound love of the healing properties inherent in the art making process has continued to inspire and drive my growth personally and professionally. I believe Art Therapy to be a powerful form of psychotherapy that can help people safely express their emotions and make meaning of experiences, that may have been difficult to put into words alone.

My fifteen years of experience as an NYC public school educator and Crisis Manager, has enriched my clinical skills greatly, as I specialize in supporting children and adults alike in navigating complex grief, loss and trauma through compassionate guidance and care. My role as a Yoga and Mindfulness practitioner, and as someone who values my own embodied daily practice, has also influenced the type of clinician I have become. Inviting clients to engage in Yoga and Mindfulness practices alongside me allows me to offer a therapeutic approach that unites the mind, body and spirit to foster resilience, inner peace, help manage anxiety, and creates spaces to ground in the present moment.

As an Art Therapist and as a certified and licensed Yoga and Mindfulness teacher, I value these awareness enriching practices as they allow me to guide and nurture my clients’ ability to engage in self-reflection, develop healthy coping skills, manage and process powerful feelings, and build confidence as they explore, make meaning, and grow.

Couples Therapy

Family therapy is a way of understanding and treating emotional problems and personal crises by working with the entire family rather than the individual. Therapy sessions focus on understanding individuals’ thoughts, feelings and behavior within the context of their families. The goal is to harness and strengthen family resources, and help family members work collaboratively toward solutions to their problems.

Child and adolescent counseling helps children or young people explore any concerns that may be causing problems in their social, emotional or cognitive development. The therapeutic process gives them the opportunity to express difficult or confused feelings in a safe environment with clear boundaries.

Couples counseling, couples therapy, and marriage counseling are for romantic and non-romantic partners who find they are in a negative pattern they cannot change. Counseling gives you a safe space to explore difficult and complex topics within your personal or professional relationship. Goals are unique to the couple—there is no “cookie cutter” treatment that is right for all couples in all situations.
